NEXT PROJECT

Art Deco Home, London

London Pied-à-Terre

This space started its life as a stark white box and was probably the most densely layered project we have ever done. We added to everything, the ceilings, walls and floors. The owner - who is familiar with boat design - understood the necessary ingenuity involved in working with limitations and small spaces. He had come to us with a clear but eclectic shopping list: he wanted chintz and colour, an highly glamorous open bar and notes of old Colefax and Fowler. This helped us build depth and define the space and we combined bold shades in tightly delineated areas, an ultra glamorous stripe and sparing notes of the highly decorative.
