This was a rewarding collaboration with clients from the worlds of art and fashion, who arrived with a clear vision for how they wanted to live in their elegant 18th-century riverside home. Drawing on references from our past work, we explored how to weave in allusions to fashion greats such as Givenchy and Saint Laurent, alongside nods to Sister Parish, Pauline de Rothschild’s bedroom, and Cy Twombly. The result is a sophisticated house balancing grown-up restraint with a sense of glamour. Impeccably considered, it functions beautifully as both a relaxed family home and a space for formal entertaining, with antique pieces set against contemporary art and signature Grenney Greig touches - from the fretwork ceiling in the conservatory to a dining room lacquered in rich brown, lifted by notes of pink and citrus.
