The Garden

AT WOODEN CABBAGE

The garden is a calm, generous space to settle into,  whether in the thatched folly beside the barn, on the terrace, or among the orchard. In summer, David Austin roses and sweet peas add colour and scent, while the evening sun lingers over the valley. You’re welcome to wander, pick fresh herbs, or spend time by Martyn’s vegetable patch. Birdlife is constant, from swallows and house martins overhead to woodpeckers, nuthatches and wagtails nearby, with owls calling at dusk, all set against wide, peaceful views across the surrounding farmland.
