Our Location
Wooden Cabbage Barn sits just outside East Chelborough, in the Dorset countryside between Dorchester, Beaminster and Yeovil. While quietly tucked away, it’s straightforward to reach - a car is recommended for the final stretch.
By Car:
From Dorchester
A37 towards Yeovil, left for Evershot, then bear right to Chelborough after ~1 mile. At the crossroads turn right; follow the lane for ~2 miles. Entrance on the left, ~200 yards past Oaklands Estate (farm gates marked ‘Oakborough Herd’). Over the cattle grid - house on the left.
From Bridport / Crewkerne
Head to Evershot (via Beaminster or A356), then turn for Chelborough at the red signpost. Follow the lane for ~2 miles; entrance on the left just past Oaklands Farm and Oaklands Estate. Over the cattle grid - house on the left.
From Yeovil (and Sherborne)
A37 towards Dorchester, right for Closworth/Halstock after ~3 miles. Continue 2.4 miles, then next right. Entrance at farm gates - over the cattle grid, house on the left.
